The Ending Of Hatred

A hand is outreached with it's palm turned up as if it's receiving something, while another hand is holding a red heart as if it's offering the heart to the other hand.

Written by Lucy, a Ventura County junior in high school.

Hatred drives Hatred.

Love drives Love.

When a tiger attacks,

The victim strikes

And a fight begins

And never ends

Until one ends.

The Hatred.

Hatred.

Because Hatred

Makes Hatred

When you are broken

Do you smile at the breaker?

No.

You crush the breaker

Til the breaker crushes you more.

So quench the urge to fight in you.

When you are upset

Do you give the upsetter

a slap?

Yes.

Does he slap you back?

But if you talked

In peace.

In confidence.

In gentleness.

In emotions.

In Love.

They might talk back in Love.

Because if you say hello,

They will say hello back.

Because if you say “I hate you.”

They will say “I hate you” back.

When darkness covers,

Light reveals

The Hatred,

That should not be

And never be,

Until it ends.

Hatred drives Hatred.

Love drives Love.

Make the Hatred end.
