BRITE hosts a live-streamed community discussion about current issues, featuring a panel of experts to share valuable insight. We believe that through thoughtful and tactful storytelling, we can illuminate difficult-to-discuss topics for the purpose of unity, growth, and healing.Using art and performance to start the conversation, BRITE Connections is an interactive monthly series designed to bring together our community’s youth with our community’s supportive adult members.

Join BRITE for an inspiring evening celebrating youth voices, creativity, and mental health empowerment at the BRITE Connections Wellness Arts Showcase.
This community event will feature original artwork created by students from across Ventura County, exploring themes of emotional wellbeing, resilience, identity, and hope. Through visual art, music, poetry, and performance, young people share their stories and perspectives on mental health in powerful and meaningful ways.
The program will also include youth advocate speakers, live musical performances, and spoken word pieces, creating space for connection, reflection, and conversation around mental health and wellness.
Whether you are a student, educator, parent, or community member, this showcase is an opportunity to support youth creativity, uplift mental health awareness, and celebrate the power of artistic expression.

"Expressions of Gender"
A discussion featuring youth poetry, musical performances, and a Q&A with a panel of counselors and community advocates about gender expression and LGBTQ+ equity in schools. Watch Here
"Knock Knock"
BRITE, in collaboration with Give An Hour, Hasty Storytelling, and the Hillcrest Center for the Arts presented a two-part event. Part one consisted of a viewing of a short play about self-harm, “Knock Knock”. Part two was a live discussion with a panel of mental health professionals. Watch Here
"Returning to School During Covid"
We sat down with students between ages 6 and 22 to discuss their views on going back to school during a global pandemic. Take a look through the eyes of the youth, and then watch a follow-up with mental health professionals and City of Agoura Recreation Staff to discuss coping techniques and healthy outlets. Watch Here
